OTTOKIND drawer cabinets

Drawer storage.

High-density industrial drawer storage engineered for precision, safety and long-term reliability in demanding manufacturing environments.

Industrial drawer cabinets built for real workshops

OTTOKIND drawer storage systems combine German structural engineering with advanced safety mechanisms, delivering controlled, organised storage without compromising load capacity or accessibility.

Series 565 drawer cabinet

Series 565 compact

Space-efficient storage for narrow footprints and individual workstations.

450 mm internal width. 70 kg drawer load.
Series 715 drawer cabinet

Series 715 industrial

The core industrial drawer cabinet with heavy-duty runner options.

600 mm internal width. Up to 200 kg per drawer.
Series 1015 drawer cabinet

Series 1015 wide

Wide-format drawer storage for oversized components and tooling.

900 mm internal width. Heavy-duty configurations available.

Key considerations when specifying drawer storage

Drawer load ratings and runner specification

Drawer load ratings refer to the maximum weight each drawer will carry when fully extended. The Series 715 handles up to 200 kg per drawer on heavy-duty full-extension runners. The Series 565 is rated at 70 kg and the Series 1015 at higher configurations for oversized tooling.

Full-extension runners allow complete access to the drawer contents without removing items from the back. This matters for maintenance stores and tooling drawers where fast access is required. Partial-extension runners reduce cost but limit access to roughly 75% of the drawer depth.

Anti-tilt safety

OTTOKIND uses the Absolute Anti-Tilt system across the drawer cabinet range. The mechanism ensures only one loaded drawer can be opened at a time, preventing the forward tipping risk that occurs when multiple heavy drawers are simultaneously extended.

In a maintenance or tooling environment where cabinets carry heavy components and are accessed throughout the working day by multiple people, anti-tilt is a meaningful safety feature, not a marketing claim. It is a structural mechanism built into the cabinet frame.

Integration with OTTOKIND workstations

Drawer cabinets in the OTTOKIND range bolt directly to bench frames or stand alone. Because both systems share the same mounting grid, a cabinet can be moved between workstations or repositioned within a cell without modification. Cabinets can be specified at the same time as workstations or added later as the working area develops.

For production cells with multiple operators, mobile drawer cabinets allow tooling and consumables to be moved to wherever they are needed rather than fixed to a single station.

Common applications for OTTOKIND drawer storage

Maintenance and engineering stores

Maintenance departments need fast, organised access to spare parts, consumables and hand tools. Heavy-duty drawer storage with load-rated runners and anti-tilt mechanisms provides controlled, accessible storage that holds up under daily industrial use.

Tool control in production cells

Production areas benefit from tooling being stored at the point of use. Drawer cabinets integrated with workstations keep tools, gauges and fixtures within reach of the operator without cluttering the worksurface. Shadow boards and foam inserts can be specified to support tool control programmes.

Spares and consumables in assembly areas

Assembly stations that consume components regularly benefit from organised, counted storage at the bench. Drawer cabinets with dividers and labelling keep small components in order, reduce picking errors and support production flow without requiring trips to a central stores.
